Why The New iPad Didn’t Have Media Ports and Never Will! – Technology News 2012

The New iPad

For the last couple of months, I kept readying how adding an HDMI port, internet cable port or a USB port was a “must have” for the next iPad. Well, the New iPad has been revealed and no media ports. My thought is that they are never going to have media ports… EVER!

The main reason why people want a usb port is to dumb their personal information from a USB storage device. Things like movies, pictures and other types of heavy files. Apple knows that majority of the population will not monitor the storage space on the device and will continuously dumb more and more files onto the device until they used up all the memory. When the device’s storage space is depleted, the device will begin to run slowly therefore compromising the experience. People will just automatically blame the device for the slow performance. Not everyone that buys a tablet is tech savvy but they expect the device to work perfectly. So what is the solution to this? Apple already created it. The iCloud.

Apple’s goal is to have it’s customers assimulate apple products in their homes or businesses. An iBook, iPhone 4S, iPad, iTV or iPod could all be simultaneously synced through the cloud… no wires.

Forget an HDMI Cable! Use Airplay! The New iPad records and plays movies on 1080p.

Sometimes a Wifi connection could be slow and same with a 3G network. So many speculated that having an internet cable port would be an easier way to connect to a more secure internet connection. Well how about 4G LTE connection!?

Everyone is racing to the cloud and as more and more people become accustom to using cloud solutions, wires, cables and USB storage devices will be a thing of the past! This is great news. Have ever stopped to think how much money you spent on an HDMI cable, 20G USB STick or even that cable that connects your device to your computer? It adds up!

Companies creating tablets for Android should probably try to do the same. Google will be launching “Google Drive” soon!
